How to apply
Learn what it takes to start applying your wallpaper:1. Measure the wall
Measure the wall that will receive the paper, note height and width - start from the baseboard to the ceiling or desired height for installation. If there are sockets and windows, also write down your measurements for clippings.
2. Clean and prepare the surface
Correct surface imperfections and, if necessary, repair the wall with our rectifying paper (contact us). If the wall is already level, just wipe it with a damp cloth to leave it clean and free of dust before installation.
3. Cut the wallpaper
The roll always comes with a fixed width, however you must cut the desired length according to the height of the wall, so it is important to measure it before application. Cut the strips 10 cm apart and, in the case of paper with pattern or rapport, calculate 10% more to ensure the correct fit, for example, if the wall height is 270 cm, cut a strip with 270 cm + 27 cm = 297 cm.
4. Glue the paper or wall
First protect the surfaces from any spills with a plastic or tarp. Then, with the brush, spread the glue over the paper and fold the paper strip, leaving glue with glue, or on the wall (see instruction for the paper model).
5. Glue the corners of the wall
A good tip is to apply wallpaper glue on the top and bottom corners of the wall and on the sides. This procedure ensures that the edges of the paper do not come off easily.
6. Apply the paper to the wall
To make the application easier, start the application at the top of the wall, fitting it in the corners, if necessary, adjust the paper with your hands to position it and with a brush or spatula, make inside-out movements to lay the paper. Small bubbles of excess glue must remain to ensure proper fixation of the paper, the excess will disappear in about 2 days. Finish the finishing by pressing the seams so that they do not lift in the future.
7. Cutout in sockets and switches
If there are sockets and switches on the wall, unscrew the mirrors and with the knife make the cut during installation. As soon as the paper meets the obstacles on the wall, cut immediately to ensure the paper is fully fixed. Replace after 1 hour of installation.
8. Cut the leftovers
To remove paper scraps, just touch the spatula and apply the X-act slowly and delicately to ensure a uniform result.
9. Sponge or damp cloth over the seams
To finish, pass a damp sponge or a damp cloth (see indication) over the seams to remove remnants or excess glue that could stain the paper.
