Milk Bank of São Tomé and Príncipe
The association Amparo da Criança – Associação de Solidariedade Social, is intended for the exercise of social action, namely, support to institutions that carry out their activity in the scope of providing services - education and health, to children between 0 and 6 years old.
Our objective is to identify and support institutions with difficulties in fully carrying out their work, such as day care centers, orphanages, parish centers, etc., which are not for profit.
Regardless of the location where the head office or places of deposit of goods are located, there are no territorial limits for our intervention. Human life is of equal value in any part of the country or the world. Satisfying the most basic needs of children will be a challenge for us, as we will strive to create conditions for the institutions we will support to become truly autonomous, overcoming the period of greatest difficulties in which they find themselves.
It is also up to us to promote social awareness, namely, sharing, solidarity, affection, love, the promotion of volunteering. Likewise, it is up to us to cooperate with other institutions that have similar objectives, in order to reach more and better the child population.
The risk of poverty for families with dependent children, in Portugal, has been getting worse every year. We will make an effort to mobilize public and private entities to bring together efforts aimed at preventing and solving social problems in this area.
